Year 11 student Angela Velasquez was featured in the Maribyrnong Star Weekly recently after being chosen to meet with retired Governor General of Australia Dame Quentin Bryce as part of a Young Women and Leadership Q&A at Victoria University on 10 September. Some of the ideas Angela would like to promote as a leader of the future include, legalising gay marriage, making it easier for people under persecution to migrate to Australia and making the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions a priority for Australia.
